Documents Required for the Active Duty Military Application
These are required documents for this property. Please review the list as you are preparing to submit your application.
STEP 1: Gather the Documents Needed for Your Application
- All applicants must provide proof of Assignment Date with a copy of current orders.
- If you have dependents, you must provide proof/validation of dependents who will occupy housing through Defense Enrollment Reporting System (DEERS).
- ***Birth and marriage certificates are not required. If a spouse is not listed on DEERS as authorized to travel or a DD form has not been received, they can still be added to the lease. However, they will need to pay the application fee, and a background check will be required. Dependents need to be on DEERS. If they are a child, we do not need a birth certificate. If the child is not on DEERS or a DD form, they are not eligible for an additional bedroom.
- All applicants must present a current Leave Earning Statement (LES) to confirm current rank.
- If you have pets, you must provide all of the following:
- Shot records of each pet
- Photo of each pet
- If you are filing the information on behalf of your active-duty spouse, you need a power of attorney (POA).
- If you are dual-military, you must provide the orders and most recent end of month LES for both members. One family member must be on another's orders; if not, you will need to provide proof of marriage through a DEERS form.
